Rules in.
Geometry out.
Artomata builds custom Onshape FeatureScript, parametric CAD tooling, and AI‑accelerated art. Same idea on both sides of the shop: write the rule once, let it build the thing.
FeatureScript library
Custom features built for Onshape and published as public documents. Each one removes a modeling step somebody was doing by hand, over and over.
A selected subset — not the whole library. Every feature here is free, public, and documented on the Onshape forum. Fork the document, or install it straight into your toolbar from the version you want.
What I take on
Custom FeatureScript
You have a modeling step your team repeats on every job — a bracket family, a connector pattern, a compliance callout. I turn it into a feature that lives in your Onshape toolbar and takes parameters instead of patience. Delivered as a versioned public or private document, with the source readable.
CAD & design contracting
Parametric part and assembly modeling, design-for-manufacture cleanup, drawing packages, and configuration work. Comfortable picking up a half-finished model and finishing it, which is most of what this work actually is.
AI-accelerated art
Commissioned generative and AI-assisted pieces, plus the tooling around them — batch pipelines, parameter exploration, print prep. Accelerated, not automated: the direction stays human, the iteration count goes up by two orders of magnitude.
About Artomata
Artomata is a one-person LLC. The name is the whole thesis: art plus automata — systems that follow rules and produce something you didn’t draw by hand.
In CAD that means FeatureScript: a feature that knows how to build a part correctly, so nobody has to remember the eleven steps. In the art work it means the same posture applied to images and objects — define the constraints, let the machine run the permutations, then use judgment on what comes back.
Freelance work is welcome across both. If your problem is “we keep rebuilding this,” that’s exactly the shape of thing I like.
The interesting part was never drawing the part. It was deciding what the part had to be.

Tell me what you keep rebuilding, roughly when you need it, and whether the output has to live in a public Onshape document or stay private. A screenshot of the current manual process is worth more than a spec.
